Sanna will share useful and enjoyable ethnic movement activities and folk dances from a variety of the world’s cultures. Her focus is community and character building, as well as curriculum connections (holidays, social sciences, geography, languages, math, and science and, of course, music) and classroom management.

Sanna Longden is a well-known clinician at Kodály, AOSA, MENC, and other education conferences throughout North America and beyond. She presents at universities, in-services, and folklore festivals, and serves as artist-in-residence in U.S. schools. Sanna’s series of useful and amusing DVD/videos and CDs are sold worldwide through distributors and on her website (www.FolkStyle.com).  Co-author with Phyllis S. Weikart of Cultures and Styling in Folk Dance (High/Scope Press, 1998), and Wendy Taucher of Making Music with Movement and Dance (Pearson Education, 2006), she is also clinician and contributing author to the Silver Burdett/Pearson Scott Foresman Making Music textbooks.
