President Elect Column Lisa Roebuck __________________________________________________________________________________________________________________
I am excited to present an excellent list of highly-qualified candidates for your consideration for the upcoming KET elections. Katherine Johns will be running for Vice-President. She is a music teacher for Floresville ISD. Katherine’s hard work and dedication are evident in our website and Encounter issues. Mary Neeley Stevens is running for Secretary. She teaches in Aldine ISD in Houston. Mary is conscientious and a master record-keeper. She has already dedicated many years to the KET organization. On the slate for West Texas Representative is John Gillian. He is currently a teacher for Ector County ISD in Odessa, Texas. John is the elementary chair for his TMEA region and has proven his leadership in many capacities. Also on the slate for South Texas Representative is Ann Hastings. She teaches music at the Kinkaid School in Houston, Texas. Ann has devoted much time and energy to TMEA as the former Vice President for the elementary division and has served on the executive board of KET. The experience and enthusiasm of all these candidates will serve our organization well. If you cannot make the meeting, please print the following ballot and mail it to Lisa Roebuck 11501 Highview Drive Austin, Texas 78750
You must be a member of OAKE to vote. Please mail your ballot before TMEA so it can be counted with the ballots at convention. If you will be attending TMEA, but are unable to attend the meeting, you may hand your ballot to any member of the executive board at convention before Friday’s meeting. Please include your membership number or name so we can confirm your membership status.
