What is the National Conference?
Immerse yourself in Kodály education by attending our annual conference! Each year OAKE hosts a National Conference for professional development and honor choirs. From coast to coast, OAKE has hosted hundreds of sessions with thousands of teachers, students and guests.
The OAKE National Conference is held in one of four OAKE Divisions annually and hosted by a local OAKE Chapter. OAKE Members audition their music students for our four Conference Choirs which are led by internationally renowned conductors.
How do I register to attend?
OAKE Members and nonmembers are able to register for the National Conference through our Rates and Registration page. Those who have registered ahead of the conference and those who would like to register on site can do so at the Registration Booth. The Registration Booth will be open Thursday, Friday and Saturday, normally from 8 am to 5 pm.
What is the Conference Schedule like?
A typical Conference Schedule consists of a Mini-Conference on Thursday, sessions from 8 am to 4 pm on Friday and Saturday, with occasional extra sessions on Sunday. Choir participants will arrive on Wednesday while Conference participants arrive on Thursday.
