As an immigrant and a person of color, Minami values equity and inclusion and thrives to practice Culturally Responsive Teaching in her classroom. She lead the Equity and Inclusion Committee at Fairview Elementary School, Hayward CA where she works with students of color and socioeconomically disadvantaged families. She advocates for CRT and organized a book club on "Culturally Responsive Teaching and the Brain" to continuously reflect on her own teaching.
